Wake up to views like you’ve never seen before…
This view, to be exact. 57 Nord nestles at the junction of three ancient sea lochs, with views out over the Kintail Mountains and the iconic Eilean Donan Castle. We highly recommend a stroll down to the castle, and a ramble along the unfenced track to the pebble beach.
At this latitude there’s daylight for almost 18 hours during the summer solstice. The cottage is an idyllic place to sip an early morning coffee or while away long sunsets over the water.
Taste the best of local
We provide our guests with a welcome hamper of locally-made artisanal products including breakfast treats to start your day.
Foodie highlights include artisanal sourdough from Manuela’s Wee Bakery and creel-caught langoustine from local fisherman Duncan. For lovers of peated whiskies, a tour of Skye’s Talisker distillery shouldn’t be missed. The award-winning Kinloch Lodge and Duisdale House Hotel are an easy drive away (pre-booking is a must).
For a truly special experience, we can also arrange a private chef.
The Isle of Skye
Rich in landscape and history, Skye is a stone’s throw away. The Old Man of Storr is an instantly recognisable landmark and the Cuillin Ridge, Fairy Pools and rugged coastline are irresistible to outdoor types. Walking trails and water activities abound.
Bealach na Ba
We’ll leave you a welcome pack with lots of ideas for day-trips in the area. One of our favourites is the Bealach na Ba, a famous section of the North Coast 500 and one of the highest drives in the country. Twisting through hairpin bends, this breathtaking single-track road eventually drops down to Applecross, the UK’s most remote peninsula.
